Grossos is located on the Potiguar North Shore and has a little more than 7 thousand inhabitants. It attracts by its beauty and enchants with its beaches, dunes, rivers, salt reserves and archeological sites (shell mounds).The tourist attractions include the 2nd largest Cashew tree in the world, the summer horse riding, the boat trips and the handicraft ( colored sand , seashells and wood). The visitors can also get acquainted with old communities where women weave their hammocks on the verandas, besides the salt handicrafts, where salt is still extracted by the old fashioned method.
How to get there
Distance from Natal: 322 km. Leave Natal by BR-304, go past Mossoró up to the village of Gangorra. There pick up RN-012. It’s around 4 hours 40 minutes from the capitol.
